The meat industry in the U.S. pollutes the environment more than all the cars, buses, and airplanes in the country. Raising cows and pigs, slaughtering them, keeping the meat cold, and transporting it uses a lot of energy. If more people knew about the environmental damage done by eating meat, people would eat less meat. One of the best ways people can stop climate change is to eat less meat!
