In the Living the Civil War project you will take on the role of a person from the Civil War over the course of the Civil War unit. You will get to know the person you choose through independent research and become the person in writing and discussions in class.
Elements of the Project

Select a real person from the Civil War era to become for our class unit

Throughout the unit you will speak and write as the individual you choose

The person you choose does not have to share your personal opinions, in fact, it will be fascinating to explore the mind of someone you disagree with

HW assignments in the unit will often be journal entries written in the voice of your person
